Y-Club Earns Awards at Recent KYA

On a recent trip to the Kentucky Youth Assembly, the RCHS Y-Club received the "Outstanding Delegation" Award (out of 34 delegations represented). Following is a list of honors earned at this year's KYA...

* "Premiere Bill" passed both House and Senate at the Capitol. (Authors: Hunter Carnes, Sidney Malone, and Olivia Eldridge)

* "Legislative Bill" passed two committees and was presented to the Governor. (Authors: Kristina Burton, Sydney Fleurdelys, and Taylor Grider)

* "Legislative Bill" passed first committee and was presented at the Capitol.
  (Authors: Jonathan Dunn, Kyle Hunter, and Caleb Flanagan)

* "Judicial Delegates" Colby Allen, Evan Daffron, and Kerry Kingry won their court case.

* "Solicitor General": Tra Taylor

* "Congressional President of the Senate": Ben Lee

* "Outstanding Speaker Award": Jonathan Dunn & Sidney Malone
